Participants need to be performance ready. Ideally we would like performers to arrive in their dress uniforms, but if this cannot happen there will be limited time for the teams to change prior to entering into the Rose Bowl. Drum Majors bring your equipment, Pep Flags bring your flags and Mascots bring your costumes. Due to strict Rose Bowl bag restrictions the Drum Major and Mascot participants will require additional security screening depending upon the size of bag their equipment/costume is in. Please arrive to the participant gate ready for this process..
Please note we would like ALL spirit participants to bring pom pons for performance enhancement. No specific color is required. Bring extras if possible. *Pom pons are NOT a requirement to attend this rally. Participants may have time to touch up appearance prior to entrance into the stadium.
WHAT TO BRING:
Water bottles and sunscreen. Water bottles must be sealed and no larger than 2-quart size. Cans, glass bottles, thermoses, and coolers are NOT permitted in the stadium. All jewelry must be removed for safety reasons. Please leave all valuables in a securedvehicle.
Rose Bowl has a clear bag policy. Please see the attached document regarding items being brought into the Rose Bowl or visithttps://www.rosebowlstadium.com/visitor-center/code-of-conduct USA will be providing a commemorative clear bag to all participants to use for those items they are bringing into the Rose Bowl. We recommend participants bring their items in a disposable bag to transfer to the commemorative bag prior to the game. There might not be enough time to go back to your vehicles prior to the game.
There will be a $30.00 parking fee per car. You can pre-purchase parking for $25.00 by going online to UCLA’s Ticketmaster website. ALL CARS PARK IN LOT H or I. If you enter from the west side of the stadium you will have a better opportunity to park in Lot I (eye) which is a closer walk to the baseball (rehearsal) field. Buses should park in LOT I (eye), there is no charge for buses. ALL BUSES PARK IN THE NORTH END OF PARKING LOT I. (See attached map) Parking lots open 6 hours prior to kick-off (approximately 10:00 am).
NOTE THAT PARKING LOCATION MAY BE CHANGED THE DAY OF THE EVENT. YOUR FLEXIBILITY IN PARKING AND GETTING TO THE REHEARSAL LOCATION ON TIME IS APPRECIATED.
All participants and chaperones must enter through the participant’s gate, located near the Rose Bowl sign at the south side of the stadium. Please note that there will be metal detectors at the participant’s gate.
At rehearsal, all participants and chaperones will be given wristbands for entrance into the game. Wristbands for performers will be distributed 1 to each performer. Wristbands for chaperones will be distributed according to the 1:10 ratio.
Please note, the timing of the day’s schedule may change depending upon UCLA requirements.
If additional people wish to attend, they must purchase their tickets as they would for a regular UCLA football game. To sit in the same “general admission” area as the performers, purchase tickets online at uclabruins.com, call (310) UCLA-WIN or on game day at Gate Aand ask for General Admission, South End Zone. A general admission cost for adults is $35.00. Children’s General Admission tickets cannot be purchased in advance, only the day of the game. Reserved seating is also available at Gate A, but these seats are not located in the same section as the performer seating.
Out of consideration for other schools, contact Kim Betts at email@example.com immediately if your team/squad cannot attend. Any decreases to your original registered numbers must be submitted in writing to the USA office by Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Please note there are no refunds for cancellations done after Tuesday, September 5, 2017 or no shows at the event. These changes are needed by this time in order to allow us time to finalize all field charts, formations and ticketing.
Registration will begin at 10:00 am. Please make copies of the TWO Participant Release and Waiver Form (USA Waiver & UCLA Waiver) and distribute it to all participants. Submit your original Participant Release and Waiver Forms for each participant at registration, PHOTOCOPIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Be advised that this form must be completedby a parent or legal guardian. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT A COMPLETED PARTICIPANT RELEASE AND WAIVER FORM.
All participants are required to attend rehearsal from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 1. Rehearsal will begin in the Baseball Fieldon the Southwest side of the Rose Bowl next to Parking Lot I (see attached map). Parking lots will open no earlier than 10:00 am on game day. The cost for parking is $30.00 on game day, or you can pre-purchase parking for $25.00 by going online to UCLA’s Ticketmaster website. Note, the earlier you arrive and line up to get into the parking lot the better chance you have to park in Lot I (which is closest to the rehearsal field). You must be ready to step onto the rehearsal field no later than 10:45 am. If you are late, you may not be able to perform.
If not already in dress uniform upon arrival, bring your uniforms with you to rehearsal. We will allow time for teams to change before entering into the Rose Bowl. Plan to leave all bags/personal items in cars/buses before entering into the Rose Bowl.
We will enter the Rose Bowl as a group at 3:30 pm. There will be no food breaks during the 10:30 am to 3:00 pm rehearsal time. However there will be short breaks where teams can eat snacks. It is recommended that participants bring snacks to the rehearsal that are quick and easy to eat on these short breaks. Concessions will be open during the game where you can purchase food once inside the stadium. During the second quarter of the game, we will be directed to the field for our half-time performance. A detailed itinerary will be available at check-in on game day. After half-time, participants will be released to their advisors to enjoy the rest of the game if they desire. No coaches, parents, or chaperones will be allowed on the field during the half-time performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Each School will receive one (1) complimentary coach/advisor/chaperone ticket for every 10 students that attend the event.
Any adults attending above the one (1) per 10 complimentary ratio would need to purchase a ticket as they would for a regular UCLA football game.

The Rose Bowl has implemented a new Clear Bag Policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium. USA will provide to all participants a clear bag that meets the requirements of the new policy. We suggest that participants bring any items they want to bring into the stadium in a disposable bag so that they can easily transfer their items to the commemorative bag prior to the game. There might not be enough time between rehearsal and the game to go back to a vehicle to leave items behind.
